Sleep Well Ashwagandha Powder Banana & Blackberry Nicecream or Smoothie – Vegan Icecream Recipes – Ashwagandha Recipes – Healthy Dessert Recipes

 

Today, I made this super yummy ashwagandha powder banana and blackberry nicecream (vegan icecream) or you can eat it as a smoothie as well because it melts really fast.

I have been struggling with sleep and stress lately which is why I decided to add this ashwagandha powder to this vegan banana and blackberry nicecream or smoothie recipe. Ashwagandha powder is a superfood powder that is thought to help with both of these problems and I really could use some help right now. Work is super stressful and I’ve been struggling to sleep as well because of the stress plus the hotter summer days.

To really make this a “Sleep Well” vegan icecream or smoothie, I went further and also added nutmeg. Nutmeg is thought to also help with sleep and is added to milk or desserts in India to aid with sleep.

This icecream recipe is vegan as I used plant-based hazelnut milk. Really, you should not be adding any milk at all – I think this is why my icecream melted faster than it should have. The reason I used milk was because I was using the smaller Ninja blender which is not as strong as the big Ninja blender. If you are using a blender that is not that strong, then add milk. If you are using the bigger Ninja blender or Vitamix blender, you do not need to add any milk.

If you would like to make this nicecream into icecream and don’t mind adding dairy milk, then use whole milk to make it creamier.

There was no need to add any sugar to this vegan icecream recipe because the bananas and blackberries had all the sweetness I required. It was super fresh and yummy.

You do need to have frozen bananas and frozen blackberries to make this nicecream recipe.

INGREDIENTS:

 

2 frozen bananas

8 – 10 frozen blackberries

1/2 tsp ashwagandha powder

1/4 tsp grated nutmeg or nutmeg powder

1/4 cup hazelnut milk (or dairy milk or skip if you have a strong blender)

METHOD:

 

Add all the above ingredients to your blender and blend until you have the consistency you like.

You can either blend it just enough to eat it as icecream or blend a bit more to enjoy it as a smoothie.

I call this a sleep well icecream / nicecream / smoothie recipe because it has two ingredients, Ashwagandha powder and Nutmeg that are thought to help with sleep.

This is a delicious healthy dessert to enjoy for those who are looking to keep fit or lose weight.
