Chocolate Chai Oats Breakfast with Blueberry, Banana, Grapes, Chia Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds and Honey

As the months get colder, we turn to cooked oats to keep us full. Oatmeal is a delicious breakfast and it’s always nice to spice up breakfast oats with something fun and different.

November reminds me of Christmas and as we approach this festive season, I feel like making my oats more and more “festivy”.

Hence, I decided to create a combination of chocolate chai oats because both hot chocolate and chai spices remind me of Christmas.

You can use any combination of fruits but I feel banana is always essential to anything that has chai spices in it 😀

Excuse my amateur looking grape flowers. I just wanted to make my Christmas inspired breakfast feel Christmassy with these flowers that remind me of Christmas lights.

Ingredients:

I cup Oats

1 tspn Raw Cacao

1/2 – 1/4 tsp Chai Mix Spice

1 tspn honey (or any other sweetener)

Water to cook the oats

1 banana

Handful of blueberries and grapes

Chia seeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds for garnishing

Method:

Add oats, water, cacao and chai mix spice to a pan. Cook your oats on a low-medium flame for about 2-3 minutes. Keep stirring through this process.

Switch off flame and pour your oatmeal into a bowl. Garnish with banana, blueberries, grapes, chia seeds, sunflower seeds.

Drizzle honey/any other sweetener on top.

And that’s your oatmeal! 🙂 Easy peezy!

This was a nice spicy oatmeal breakfast perfect for those cold mornings when you are craving warmth and chocolate.

Oats are a very healthy breakfast and keep you going for almost 3 hours! Add in the fruits and seeds and you’ll get additional Vitamin C, B vitamins and other minerals.

Use any combination of fruits! Do try it and let me know what you think 🙂
