Here’s a very simple, quick to make, filling and yummy weight loss recipe that you could eat as a snack, for breakfast and even dessert!

This raw cacao chia pudding tastes so refreshing and is perfect for the summer months. It’s also perfect for vegans as it has no animal or milk products.

 

Chia pudding is made from chia seeds. It sounds fancy but all you need to do is add water to chia seeds and voila! You have chia pudding.

Chia seeds are extremely nutritious and are a superfood. Chia seeds are rich in Omega 3’s, Calcium and Phosphorus. They also have a high protein content and are great for vegans, vegetarians and also fitness enthusiasts / body builders.

Chia seeds tend to soak up the water and expand becoming a bit slimy and wriggly 😀 The kids would love this recipe too!

Please note I’ve used 2 tbsp chia seeds in this recipe and do not exceed this serving per person. This is the maximum recommended dosage for chia seeds and eating more may cause digestive issues. So stick to the recommended daily intake of 1 – 2 tbspns of chia seeds.

INGREDIENTS:

 

2 tbsp Chia seeds

Water as required (atleast 1/2 cup)

1 tsp raw cacao powder

1 tsp honey / maple syrup

Red grapes

Blueberries

METHOD:

 

Soak the chia seeds in water overnight. Alternatively, you can soak them in water atleast 1 – 2 hours before consuming them.

I’ve suggested atleast 1/2 cup of water but you may need more as the chia seeds absorb the water. The longer you leave the chia pudding to rest in the fridge, the thicker the chia pudding will become as the chia seeds expand. How much water you add also depends on the type of consistency you want.

Also add the water and honey. Mix and store in fridge overnight or for 1 – 2 hours before consuming.

 

When you are ready to eat, garnish with grapes, blueberries, pumpkin seeds or any other fruits you would like to add.

However, as you can see it’s such a quick and easy vegan recipe to make and is filling too for those looking to lose weight. There’s no need to resort to chocolate or unhealthy snacks when you could just enjoy this chocolicious healthy chia pudding.
