Protein Packed Avocado Smoothie Breakfast Bowl with mixed seeds for eating and Masala Chai – Healthy Breakfast Recipes
The weather is beginning to become cooler but I still enjoy these healthy smoothie bowls because so many ingredients can go into them, which we would otherwise struggle to eat on their own. And the best part is, they taste so yummy, like having dessert for breakfast.
This avocado smoothie bowl obviously has the hero ingredient – avocados – I used half an avocado. These are full of so many healthy fats that are good for hair, skin and nails. To create natural sweetness without added sugar, I used a banana and chopped dates.
I also added blueberries and grapes for that Vitamin C and antioxidant content.

Something you may not know is that raw cacao goes really well with avocado. Infact, I once made a chocolate cake that used avocado instead of butter/fat. The cacao is so good at hiding the avocado taste if you don’t like it. Raw cacao is so much more beneficial than your normal cocoa powder as it is less refined and has so much of the goodness of cacao beans such as polyphenols, antioxidants. Cacao is also thought to be good for improving your mood and a feeling of general wellbeing. Oh, actually, avocados are also thought to help with stress and mood and therefore this combination is so good if you are feeling overwhelmed/anxious. What better way to start the day?

The greek yoghurt and milk bring in the high protein and I also added lots of nuts and mixed seeds for eating which are also full of essential Omega fats and minerals such as magnesium.
As it is getting colder and this smoothie bowl is cooling too, warming masala chai is perfect to ensure you don’t catch a cold.

Ingredients:
1/2 avocado
1/2 banana
Blueberries
Grapes
2 tbsp Greek Yoghurt
Milk
Oats
Chopped Dates (about 1 tsp)
Mixed Nuts (I used cashews, almonds, pistachios, walnuts and brazil nuts)
Mixed Seeds (I used my Seeds and Goji Berries Mix)
Recipe:
- Add all the ingredients above to a blender and blend to the desired consistency.
- Garnish with anything else you’d like e.g. seeds, berries, nuts, coconut flakes etc.
For the Masala Chai, I used my loose leaf masala chai blend which already has Assam black tea and so many delicious spices and lemongrass for making that perfect cup of tea.
To make this perfect cup of masala chai;
- Take 1 tbsp of the loose leaf masala chai blend above and add to your saucepan on a high flame.
- Add 1.5 cups of water and let it brew for about 10 minutes.
- Add 3/4 tsp of sugar if you’d like.
- Add 1/2 cup of milk and let it boil for another 5-10 minutes.
- Take off the flame and strain into your tea cup.
- Enjoy with a mindful pause.
