A Refreshing Rose Hibiscus and Plum Iced Tea for Summer
One of my favourite teas to drink in summer time is a rose and hibiscus iced tea. Its beautiful bright colour and tart like flavour makes it feel almost like cranberry juice.
I decided to make an iced tea today with this rose and hibiscus tea whilst also adding freshly blended plum juice.
I found some amazing plums at the supermarket but I bought almost 1kg of plums and they started going ripe with the hot weather so thought it would be a great idea to make a fruity iced tea.
Here’s how I made it!

Ingredients:
- 2 ripe and ready plums
- A cup of water
- Better Food Mood Rose Hibiscus Loose Leaf Tea
- Sugar
- Ice
Recipe:
- First prepare the rose hibiscus tea so that it cools down while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- Add 1 tbsp of Better Food Mood’s Rose Hibiscus Loose Leaf Blend to a tea pot.
- Boil hot water (about 1 cup) and pour into the tea pot.
- Let the rose hibiscus flowers infuse into the water for about 4 – 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a jug and chill in the fridge.
- Cut the plums and remove the pits.
- Place them in a blender with water and sugar (if you wish – sweetener is optional).
- Finally, once the tea has cooled down; In a glass, add the freshly blended plum juice, add ice and pour over the cooled rose hibiscus tea.
- Stir and enjoy. It’s very refreshing.

Benefits of an Iced Rose Hibiscus Tea with plums:
This iced tea doesn’t just look and taste good, it also has several health benefits.
- Plums are very rich in Vitamin C and they are great for skin health as well as boosting your immunity.
- Hibiscus flowers are rich in antioxidants and also known as the beauty flower because they work from the inside out. They are also thought to improve skin health.
- Rose is calming and let’s face it, stress is not good for our skin. Rose tea may help us relax.
All in all, this iced rose hibiscus plum tea is really good for that glow up.
When should I take this Iced Tea?
I prefer to make it in the evening after a long day’s work as it’s relaxing and refreshing, especially in the hot summer days.
How long does it take to make this tea?
Not long – about 10 minutes. As long as you prepare the iced tea beforehand and leave it to cool in the fridge, you can go about doing other things and then come back later and prepare the plum juice and add the tea straight away.
Just be sure to have ice ready in the fridge! 🙂
