🌸The days lately have been feeling much more relaxed which has been a welcome break. I`m adding more self-care and me time to my days because after working nonstop for 3 long years, I`m beginning to feel that life is just passing me by.
I absolutely love London because there`s always something fun going on and this week, my highlight was Chelsea in Bloom.
In these pictures, you`ll find;
1) Chelsea in Bloom flowery art - the beautiful lady with an umbrella. Contrast this with the punk
2) New hair - I cut it all off. Sometimes when life is getting monotonous, I like to do something drastic like getting a new hair style ☺️ I`m currently loving my short hair
3) Making it my mission to cook homemade food everyday for the sake of my health
4) Visited my deer friends after ages, we had a lot to catch up on ☺️
5) Sometimes certain books find their way into my hands with the right message 🩷
6) I have been going on nature walks frequently and it has been life changing. The level of productivity and inspiration from these walks is unmatched 🌳

It`s still abit chilly but my saga of overnight oats continues. As my favourite month approaches, it`s also the month of berries and I absolutely love them.
This chocolate and raspberry overnight oats are so indulgent and like having a dessert for breakfast 🍫
Recipe:
50g oats
1 tsp raw cacao
2 tbsp greek yoghurt
1/2 cup milk
Handful of raspberries
Small pieces of Fruit & Nut Dark chocolate (yes, I indulged - atleast it`s dark 😊)
Mix all of the above.
Melt some dark chocolate, pour on top. Finish off with a few more raspberries, add blueberries if you fancy and sprinkle some seeds. I used my @betterfoodmood omega mix with 6 seeds - flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds and sesame seeds.
Keep overnight in the fridge and yum yum in the morning. (Also the relief when I wake up in bed the next morning and realise breakfast is ready ☺️😋😋)

Day 4 mental health awareness week - Be kind, it won`t cost you a thing 🩷
Just got back from setting up for the Hampton Court Palace Feel Good Festival and super tired but couldn`t miss this.
A smile, a compliment, even a simple hello can lift up someone`s spirits.
When I arrived at the main gate of the festival, I told the gentleman ushering us in, "hi, how are you? I remember you from last year". This simple sentence totally lit up his face because I suppose most people don`t even bother greeting him. Probably, the only question they ask is, "how do I get to my stand?"
Try being kind, it`s a win-win situation. Not only will it cheer up the other person, it will make you feel better and is good for your mental health too.
I`m not sure if I`ll be able to post tomorrow as the festival starts but hope you enjoyed these 4 paragraphs I posted.

It`s mental health awareness week this week and I would like to share a paragraph with you everyday this week - things that I feel if we understood, could really help us navigate life.
The first is that of - life is suffering. This unreal concept of life is always meant to be good and happy is a narrative devised possibly due to social media. All we ever see is happy people living the life of their dreams. But I can assure you, this is rarely true.
Take my example, I suffer quite a bit as an entrepreneur. There`s so much I go through on a daily basis but I don`t post about this. All you ever see is a happy face. Not real.
I feel some of our mental health issues may stem from the expectation that life should always feel good and if it doesn`t, then we should be unhappy taking us on a downward spiral.
The moment we accept that life is the good, the bad, the ups, the downs, we will be more resilient. Take this reminder with you on a daily basis and see if it helps.
I am practicing what I post here as well. I`m not holier than thou in any way and despite all my experiences and books I`ve read, I still fall prey to the sadness arising from not getting what I want. But I am accepting such is life and how much we suffer mentally depends on how we accept the present.
